Who can take part
- Your child has ear pain or a suspected ear infection, or was referred for evaluation of fluid behind the eardrum (otitis media with effusion).
- You (or your child’s parent/guardian) can speak English.
- Your child does not have craniofacial (skull/face) abnormalities.
- Your child does not have immune system problems.
- Your child does not have a congenital genetic syndrome.
- Your child does not already have open and working ear tubes. (If tubes are in, you may be checked to see if they are still functioning/open.)
