Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have been coughing up blood within the last 24–48 hours, or are still bleeding now
- You are coughing up less than 100 mL (about 3 ounces) of blood per day and are not in shock
- Your blood pressure is at least 90/60 mmHg, your heart rate is 120 or lower, and you show no signs of severe distress
- You can breathe safely on your own and can use a nebulizer without immediate danger
- You are willing to sign a consent form and participate in the study
