Who can take part

  • You are 45 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease using standard diagnostic criteria
  • You have a confirmed LRRK2 gene mutation (documented by a neurologist or genetic testing)
  • You can safely undergo MRI scanning (no pacemakers, metal implants, or severe claustrophobia)
  • You are not currently taking certain Parkinson's medications (anti-cholinergic drugs or cholinesterase inhibitors)
  • You have not had deep brain stimulation surgery
