How Children's Screen Time Affects Eye Development

Who can take part

  • Child is between 7 and 12 years old
  • Child's eyes have good focusing ability and see 3D well (normal binocular vision)
  • Child has minimal astigmatism (blurry vision at all distances) — less than 1.50 diopters
  • Child has not had eye surgery or myopia control treatment (like special contact lenses or eye drops) and is not planning to start any
  • Child can wear a small tracking device at home for 8 days every 6 months for 3 years
  • Child was born at or after 34 weeks of pregnancy and has no developmental delays
