Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are having thoracic (lung or chest) surgery at Tongji Hospital
  • You are willing and able to wear a wearable device (smartwatch-style) starting after surgery and for 30 days after you go home
  • You do not have severe or unstable mental health conditions like severe depression or schizophrenia
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You can complete follow-up visits and monitoring for 30 days after discharge
