Who can take part
- You had a stroke at least 6 months ago
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- This was your first stroke
- You have some increased muscle tone in your arm (rated as 2 or 3 on a scale called Modified Ashworth Scale)
- You can think clearly (score 24 or higher on a thinking test)
- You can move your shoulder at least 120 degrees
- You can walk on your own or with a cane or walker
- You have not had botox in your arm in the last 3 months
- You have not had physical therapy for stroke in the last 6 months
