Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or less.
  • You have a tumor in the body or tail of the pancreas that can be removed with laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.
  • You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities without significant limitation).
  • Your liver and blood clotting function are within safe limits.
