Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have a diagnosis of liver cancer that can be seen on a CT or MRI scan.
  • You cannot have received prior cancer treatment (like chemotherapy or immunotherapy) for your liver cancer, but you may have had certain local treatments in the past, such as surgery, ablation, or TACE.
  • Your cancer must be within specific size and number limits depending on whether the goal is to bridge to transplant (smaller tumors) or downstage (somewhat larger tumors).
  • Your liver function must be fairly good, as measured by the Child-Pugh score (A5, A6, or B7).
  • You cannot have cancer that has spread outside the liver or into the main portal vein.
