Who can take part

  • You have stage 4 chronic kidney disease (eGFR 15-29).
  • You have stored blood or urine samples in a research biobank for this study.
  • You have not been diagnosed with a thyroid disorder like underactive or overactive thyroid, thyroiditis, or thyroid cancer.
  • You are not currently taking thyroid hormone replacement or anti-thyroid medication.
  • You are not on dialysis or have had a kidney transplant.
  • You do not have an active infection or were recently hospitalized when samples were collected.
