This study tests if using a continuous glucose monitor (a sensor that checks your sugar levels all day) can improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes and kidney disease. You may join if your kidneys are at stage 3 or 4 (not on dialysis or transplant) and you take insulin.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have type 2 diabetes and kidney function (eGFR) less than 60 for at least two checks in the last six months.
  • Your diabetes treatment needs to be stable for the last 3 months and include insulin (basal, basal-bolus, or a mix with pills or a GLP-1 shot).
  • You cannot have type 1 diabetes.
  • You cannot be on dialysis or have had a kidney transplant.
  • You need to be able to manage a continuous glucose monitor – no severe memory or thinking problems.
