Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for surgery to remove a bone cancer tumor.
- Your hemoglobin (red blood cell count) is 12 g/dL or higher.
- Your surgery will not use a tourniquet (tight band to stop blood flow).
- You do not have serious heart, lung, liver, kidney problems, an active infection, a bleeding disorder, or an allergy to certain IV fluids.
