Who can take part

  • You are between 10 and 21 years old on the day of surgery.
  • You have a broken shinbone (proximal tibia or tibial shaft) that needs surgery to fix it.
  • You do not already have acute compartment syndrome (a dangerous buildup of pressure in your leg) before surgery.
  • You do not have a nerve or blood vessel condition in your injured leg.
  • The pressure monitoring device works properly during your surgery.
