Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older
- Speak and read English
- Have an acute compartment syndrome diagnosis in the lower leg from a tibia shaft or tibia plateau fracture
- Have surgery planned or performed within 48 hours of the injury for a tibia shaft or tibia plateau fracture (even if compartment syndrome is not confirmed yet)
- Or have exertional compartment syndrome (symptoms brought on by activity) with planned surgery
- Be able to join a study that only includes English-speaking participants
