Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Speak and read English
  • Have an acute compartment syndrome diagnosis in the lower leg from a tibia shaft or tibia plateau fracture
  • Have surgery planned or performed within 48 hours of the injury for a tibia shaft or tibia plateau fracture (even if compartment syndrome is not confirmed yet)
  • Or have exertional compartment syndrome (symptoms brought on by activity) with planned surgery
  • Be able to join a study that only includes English-speaking participants
