  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a burn covering at least 20% of your body (from fire, explosion, drone, or blast).
  • You need a breathing machine for more than 24 hours.
  • You are admitted to the ICU within 48 hours of the burn.
  • You (or your legal representative) agree to take part in the study.
