This study tests whether special spectacle lenses (called DIMS-TED) can slow down the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in university students. It is for students whose eyes are still growing and who are willing to wear the glasses as assigned.

Who can take part

  • You must be a university student with myopia (nearsightedness).
  • You must be between 18 and 23 years old.
  • Your eyes must have grown at least 0.06 mm in length before starting part 2 of the study.
  • You must be willing to wear either the special lenses or regular lenses, as chosen randomly.
  • You must have good vision with glasses (20/25 or better).
  • You must not have used any myopia control treatments (like special contact lenses or eye drops) before.
