  • You are 18 to 45 years old
  • You are having a planned (elective) C-section
  • Your physical health is classified as ASA I or II (generally healthy or mild systemic disease)
  • You will receive spinal anesthesia for the surgery
  • You agree to participate in the study
  • You do not have preeclampsia, heart or blood vessel problems, or known fetal abnormalities
