Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • Your cancer must be a type called intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and it must not be removable by surgery (or has come back after treatment). It should not have spread outside the liver.
  • You should not have had any previous chemotherapy or targeted therapy for this cancer, nor any treatment that goes directly into the liver artery.
  • You need to be in fairly good overall health (your daily activities are not limited more than a little) and your liver function must be good enough (Child-Pugh class A).
  • Your blood counts, kidney, liver, and thyroid function must be within certain safe ranges, as checked by blood tests.
