Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher.
  • You are willing to stay at the clinic in Überlingen, Germany and fast for about 10 days.
  • You have not taken antibiotics, prebiotics, or probiotics in the last 2 months.
  • You do not have certain digestive diseases, diabetes on medication, kidney stones, active cancer, or addiction issues.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
