Who can take part

  • You must be living with HIV
  • You either natural control HIV (viral load low without meds), or were part of a treatment interruption study, or are a non-controller (viral load goes up when off meds), or are on stable ART with suppressed virus
  • For natural controllers: your viral load must have been under 400 copies/mL at least twice while off ART, with those tests 24 weeks apart
  • For post-intervention controllers: you were in an ATI or MAP study and your viral load stayed low (under 400 copies/mL) for at least 8 weeks off ART
  • For non-controllers: your viral load went above 1000 copies/mL after stopping treatment
  • For suppressors: you have been on ART with viral load under 50 copies/mL and never had a rebound
