Stopping HIV treatment with antibody therapy

Who can take part

  • You must have completed a specific earlier NIAID study (MCA-1034) and finished your follow-up visits 12 to 24 weeks ago.
  • You need to be on HIV treatment (ART) with a very low viral load (under 50 copies) for at least 48 weeks, without a break longer than 7 days.
  • Your current CD4 count (immune cells) must be at least 400, and CD4 percentage at least 15%.
  • You must be willing to switch to a different type of HIV medication if you're currently on an NNRTI-based regimen, for at least 4 weeks before stopping ART.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must agree to use a highly effective contraception method from the start until ART is restarted and viral load is undetectable again.
