Who can take part

  • Your child is between 5 and 12 years old.
  • Your child has a lazy eye (amblyopia) that started after surgery for a cataract they were born with.
  • The weaker eye has vision that is worse than 20/100, and the stronger eye has vision better than 20/30.
  • Your child had cataract surgery on the lazy eye before age 5 and has had no changes in the eye for at least 2 months after lens implant surgery.
  • If your child needs glasses, they have been wearing them for at least 3 months.
  • Your child can understand and cooperate with the study procedures, and you as a parent or guardian can give permission.
