Who can take part

  • You are 60 to 79 years old and live in the community.
  • You qualify for a local meal subsidy for older adults.
  • You have higher blood sugar but not diabetes (HbA1c between 5.7% and 6.4% or fasting blood sugar 100 to 125 mg/dL).
  • You can eat by mouth and walk without a cane or walker.
  • You are willing to wear a glucose monitor and activity tracker and follow study meal plans.
