Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (a type of esophageal cancer) that is stage cT2-T4a or higher but not spread beyond nearby lymph nodes.
  • You cannot have received any prior treatment for this cancer.
  • You must be in good enough health to carry out daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidney, liver) must be within acceptable ranges.
  • You cannot have had any other cancer in the last 5 years (except certain skin cancers).
