Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and are in the hospital for it.
  • Your symptoms started within the last 2 days so the catheter can be placed in time.
  • You have signs of systemic inflammation (like fever, fast heart rate, fast breathing, or abnormal white blood cell count).
  • You have not had chronic pancreatitis or severe pancreatitis requiring procedures before.
  • You do not have serious kidney, heart, stomach, or bleeding problems, and you are not on blood thinners.
  • You are not currently taking GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro.
