Who can take part

  • You are a woman aged 20 to 89
  • You have had ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive breast cancer, confirmed by biopsy
  • You have finished breast cancer treatment such as surgery, radiation, chemo, immunotherapy, or hormone therapy, but not currently on chemo
  • You have done resistance training (like lifting weights) under expert guidance for more than 3 months at the Allegheny Health Network Exercise Oncology Center
  • You do not have severe joint, heart, or muscle problems that make resistance training unsafe, and are not pregnant
