Heart procedure study using 3D imaging

Atrial Fibrillation (AF)Mitral Valve (MV) Regurgitation

Part of Digestive system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests a 3D imaging system (EPX-HTG) during heart procedures to close the left atrial appendage (LAAO) or repair the mitral valve (M-TEER). It might help the doctor see your heart more clearly.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a left atrial appendage closure (LAAO) or mitral valve repair (M-TEER).
  • Your procedure will use a Philips CVx TEE or 3D ICE ultrasound system.
  • Your procedure does not require a GE or Siemens ultrasound system.

Combined ablation and clip repair for leaky mitral valve with atrial fibrillation

This trial tests a procedure that combines two treatments for people with atrial fibrillation and a leaky mitral valve that causes symptoms. The procedure aims to fix the valve leak and restore normal heart rhythm, which may improve quality of life and reduce symptoms.

NCT06630936Recruiting
Studying atrial fibrillation with mitral regurgitation

This trial tests a treatment for people with atrial fibrillation who also have a leaky mitral valve. It aims to see if treating both conditions together can improve symptoms.

NCT06061757Recruiting
Combining 4D-ICE and TEE imaging for heart closure

This trial tests a new imaging method (4D-ICE) used alongside a standard ultrasound (TEE) during a heart procedure to close the left atrial appendage, a small pouch in the heart where clots can form in people with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to see if the new method makes the procedure safer and more precise.

3D heart scan study during LVAD implantation

This study uses special 3D heart imaging to better measure right-heart function during LVAD surgery. It may help doctors understand how the right side of the heart responds when a mechanical pump is put in.

Comparing heart imaging methods for a procedure to prevent stroke

This trial is testing two ways to guide a procedure that closes a small pouch in the heart to lower the risk of stroke in people with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to see if one method is as good or better than the other.

3D heart ultrasound study for certain right-heart problems

This study uses a special 3D heart ultrasound to measure how well the tricuspid valve and right side of the heart are working. It may help improve how these conditions are evaluated and followed over time.
