Virtual reality training for hand function in children with hemiplegia

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 7 and 12 years old.
  • Their muscle tightness (spasticity) should be mild to moderate (Grade 1 or 1+ on the Modified Ashworth Scale).
  • They should be able to walk without major help (Level I or II on the Gross Motor Function Classification System).
  • They must be able to handle objects with some difficulty but still manage daily tasks (Level II on the Manual Ability Classification System).
  • They do not have severe vision, hearing, thinking, or learning problems.
  • They have not had Botox injections in the arm or hand in the last 6 months.
