  • You are scheduled for surgery to remove your tonsils or adenoids (adenotonsillectomy) under general anesthesia.
  • You are generally healthy or have only a mild health issue (like well-controlled asthma).
  • You can hear normally (the trial involves listening to a story).
  • You do NOT take medicines for anxiety, seizures, or behavior control (sedatives, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants).
  • A parent or legal guardian must agree to the study.
