Who can take part

  • You have advanced non-small cell lung cancer (stage IIIB or IV) with an EGFR mutation (exon 19 deletion or L858R).
  • You have not received any prior cancer treatment for this condition.
  • You are at least 18 years old and able to take oral medication.
  • Your overall health is fairly good (ECOG score 0-2, meaning you can care for yourself or are up and about at least half the day).
  • Your blood counts and organ function are within acceptable ranges (kidney, liver, and blood cells).
  • You agree to use effective birth control if you are fertile, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
