Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 2 and 8 years old.
  • Your child must be in good health overall (ASA I or II).
  • Your child is scheduled for an elective tonsillectomy (with or without adenoid removal).
  • Your child must not have any neurological or psychiatric disorders, growth or developmental delays, or coagulation disorders.
  • Your child must not have a known allergy to the study medications.
  • You (the parent or legal guardian) must sign a consent form, and your child (if 7 or older) must agree to participate.
