Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 6 months and 18 years old.
  • They must have a confirmed hole in the heart (called a VSD) that is a good shape for device closure.
  • The VSD must be causing extra blood flow or heart strain.
  • They must have enough tissue around the hole to safely anchor the device.
  • You and your child (if 12 or older) must agree to the study.
