Who can take part

  • Your baby was born at full term (at least 37 weeks of pregnancy).
  • You are carrying only one baby (not twins or more).
  • You gave birth vaginally (not by C-section).
  • Your baby was born alive and is breathing on their own.
  • Your baby's Apgar score at 1 minute was 7 or higher (a standard health check right after birth).
  • You can talk with the research team and have agreed to join the study.
  • No thick green or bad-smelling fluid around the baby at birth.
  • No major tear during birth (3rd or 4th degree) and no use of vacuum or other medical help to deliver.
  • No known birth defects or genetic conditions in the baby.
  • No known long-term health problems in the mother or baby (like diabetes, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or thyroid disease).
