Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older with newly diagnosed AML that hasn't been treated before.
- You are not able to receive strong chemotherapy (like anthracycline or cytarabine) due to health reasons.
- Your white blood cell count is 20,000 or lower at the start of the first treatment cycle.
- You have not had certain prior treatments for MDS (like hypomethylating agents or venetoclax), but hydroxyurea to lower blood counts is allowed.
- You are generally able to care for yourself (ECOG performance status 0-2).
