Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older and have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
- Your sleep test must show you stop or reduce breathing 15 or more times per hour (AHI ≥ 15).
- A sleep endoscopy (a camera placed in your throat while you sleep) must show the sides of your throat collapsing.
- You must have small tonsils (size 1 or 2+) and be able to have them surgically removed (tonsillectomy).
- You must already be considered a good candidate for a hypoglossal nerve stimulator (an implanted device for sleep apnea).
- You should not be using any other sleep apnea treatment (like a CPAP machine) when you start the study.
