Load management to reduce injuries in elite youth football

Time-Loss Injury Incidence

This trial tests whether a training load management plan (based on the acute-to-chronic workload ratio) helps reduce time-loss injuries in Chinese elite youth footballers. You would be part of a team randomly assigned to the load management plan or usual training, and we track injuries over time.

  • You are between 13 and 19 years old.
  • You are a member of an elite youth football team (U15, U17, or U19).
  • You do not have an injury that keeps you from playing fully right now.
  • You can get written permission from a parent or guardian (if you are under 18).
