Who can take part
- You are between 30 and 80 years old
- You have type 2 diabetes
- Your HbA1c (a measure of blood sugar control) is 7.0% or higher
- You are considered overweight or obese based on BMI or waist size (for Asians: BMI at least 25, or waist > 90 cm for men, > 80 cm for women)
- You have been taking diabetes pills (oral antidiabetic drugs) for more than 1 year
- You are not currently or previously on certain diabetes or weight-loss injections (like GLP-1) and not on insulin or DPP-4 inhibitors
