Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have had type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 27 or higher, meaning you have overweight or obesity.
  • Your average blood sugar (HbA1c) is 10% or lower.
  • You are willing to give yourself a weekly injection and track your diet and exercise.
  • You have a glucagon kit for severe low blood sugar and a ketone meter for checking ketones.
