- You are 18 years old or older.
- You are scheduled for a type of lung surgery called video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy.
- You are in good overall health (classified as ASA I-III).
- You do not have shoulder pain or trouble moving your shoulder before the surgery.
- You have not taken pain medication regularly for more than a week before the surgery.
- You are willing and able to give written consent to participate.
