Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 40 years old.
  • Your BMI must be between 27 and 35, and your waist size must be at least 90 cm (men) or 80 cm (women).
  • You must not have chronic diseases affecting metabolism or weight, such as chronic kidney disease.
  • You must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
  • You must not have been on an intensive weight loss program or taken weight-loss medication in the last 3 months.
