Who can take part
- You are a woman over the age of 18.
- Your doctor suspects you have epithelial ovarian cancer (the most common type of ovarian cancer).
- You have not received chemotherapy or other similar cancer treatments before.
- You are planning to have surgery to remove the tumor (called debulking).
- You are generally able to care for yourself and are not bedridden (ECOG performance status 0 or 1).
- Your diabetes is well controlled (if you have diabetes, your hemoglobin A1C must be under 9%).
