TU-100 to help the gut recover after major abdominal surgery

This trial tests whether a herbal medicine called TU-100 can help your bowels work normally again more quickly after a major surgery on your bladder or abdomen. If you are having one of these specific surgeries, this study may help you recover faster.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be having a radical cystectomy (removal of the bladder) or a complex abdominal wall repair with mesh.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 40 or lower.
  • You must not have a bowel blockage or a history of certain stomach or bowel surgeries like colostomy or ileostomy.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control if you or your partner can become pregnant.
