Pitavastatin eye injection for retinitis pigmentosa

Who can take part

  • You have retinitis pigmentosa diagnosed by two eye doctors
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • At least one eye has some remaining central vision (10 dB or higher on a visual field test)
  • Your vision has been stable recently, with no big changes between tests
  • The central part of your retina is not too thick (250 micrometers or less)
  • You are willing to use birth control if you could become pregnant, or for men, use condoms for 3 days after each treatment
