Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and in good general health.
  • You must have a broken bone in the eye socket (orbital floor) that needs surgery.
  • The break may also involve the outer rim of the eye socket, but it must not be part of a larger cheekbone fracture.
  • You cannot have had any previous eye socket surgery or injury.
  • You cannot have had previous eyelid surgery or any existing eyelid problems.
  • You cannot have uncontrolled diabetes, a weak immune system, or take long-term steroids.
