Tracking Tumor DNA to Predict Immunotherapy Response in Rare Kidney Cancer

Who can take part

  • You must be 14 years or older.
  • You must have a type of kidney cancer that is not clear cell renal cell carcinoma, such as papillary, chromophobe, or other rare subtypes.
  • Your kidney cancer must be advanced, meaning it cannot be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of the body.
  • You must have at least one measurable tumor (able to be seen on scans).
  • You must be planning to start treatment with an immunotherapy drug (checkpoint inhibitor) alone or combined with other treatments.
  • You must be able to provide blood samples and tissue for genetic testing (ctDNA monitoring).
  • You must not have untreated or unstable brain metastases.
  • You must not have had another active cancer (except certain skin cancers or cervical cancer in situ) in the past 3 years.
  • You must not have serious uncontrolled infections, heart conditions, or other major health problems.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
