  • You are 60 years old or older
  • You have been recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of blood cancer
  • You are planning to start your first treatment with a medication called venetoclax
  • You speak English
  • You can agree to participate in the study
  • You do not have a subtype of AML called acute promyelocytic leukemia and are not planning to receive intensive chemotherapy
  • You are expected to live longer than 2 weeks and are not in hospice care at the time of enrollment

Cytarabine and venetoclax for older adults with AML

This Phase 2 study tests whether the combination of azacitidine and venetoclax can help people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who can’t handle standard intensive chemotherapy, including some relapsed or refractory cases.
