This study collects information from people having knee cartilage repair surgery to learn more about how well different treatments work over time. If you are scheduled for or recently had this surgery, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and your bones are fully grown.
  • You are scheduled to have knee cartilage repair surgery (with a specific product or another method) or you had such surgery within the last 2 years.
  • Your knee damage is a cartilage or bone-cartilage defect (grade III or higher) that is 1 to 7 square centimeters, with or without mild to moderate knee arthritis.
  • You have a smartphone, tablet, or computer and are willing to use it to fill out online questionnaires.
  • You are willing to answer all the study questionnaires and follow the study instructions.
  • You have not had an allergic reaction to materials containing calcium carbonate or hyaluronate (a natural joint fluid component) or coral derivatives.
