This Phase 2 study tests CartiLife® to help repair a specific type of damaged knee cartilage. You may be considered if you have a moderate-sized cartilage defect in the knee and enough pain and function limits to need treatment.

Who can take part

  • You’re 18 or older and can sign consent
  • Your knee has a cartilage injury area between 2 and 10 square centimeters, and the defect is not too large by volume
  • The cartilage damage is a Grade III or IV type (not mild cartilage wear)
  • Your knee alignment is close to normal (within 5 degrees), and your knee ligaments are stable enough for normal movement
  • You still have enough of your meniscus (more than half is intact, even if partially damaged)
  • Your starting knee pain score is under 60 (KOOS pain), and you can follow the rehab and follow-up plan
