Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) liver surgery that removes at least three liver segments.
  • Your surgery will use a technique called low central venous pressure, which helps reduce bleeding during surgery.
  • You are in generally good health (classified as ASA II or III by your anesthesiologist).
  • You are not allergic to the anesthetics used in this study (remimazolam, propofol, or similar drugs).
  • You do not have severe liver disease, unstable blood pressure, or other serious health conditions that would make the study unsafe.
