Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You must have cholesterol levels in a specific range (LDL 115-190 mg/dL or total cholesterol 200-260 mg/dL).
  • You must not have taken cholesterol-lowering medications in the last 30 days.
  • You must not have uncontrolled diabetes, significant liver or kidney disease, or recent heart problems.
  • You must be willing to maintain your current diet and exercise habits during the study.
