Who can take part
- You are 11 years or older and weigh at least 30 kg (about 66 pounds).
- You had a positive test for sleeping sickness (CATT or HAT RDT).
- You can swallow pills by mouth.
- You can provide contact information and attend follow-up visits.
- You agree not to join any other clinical trials during the study.
- If you could become pregnant, you must use birth control during the trial.
- You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have not been treated for sleeping sickness or a positive test result before.
- You do not have severe symptoms (like parasites in your blood or lymph nodes).
- You don't have jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes) or any serious medical condition that might be risky.
- You are not taking certain medicines (including herbal) that could interact with the study drug.
